On Sunday, November 14, I ran the Iron Girl 5k race in Tempe. Did this one last year and knew I had to do it again even though it was 7 days after my half marathon. I didn't feel too bad. It's a great event. They make survivors feel pretty special by paying for the race fee, honoring us with special race bibs and AFLAC Team Courage gifts. Unfortunately, this race will not return to AZ next year. Bummer!! I might have to travel to Minnesota next Sept to do the Iron Girl duathlon or to Lake Tahoe to do an Iron Girl Tri.
