Ironman
Mark and Luke both volunteered at the AZ Ironman in Tempe on Sunday, November 21. Luke was down there in the morning sorting transition bags and Mark worked the transition tent most of the day. The big news for Team Brodnik........Mark is officially registered and training for the AZ Ironman next November. The race sells out the next day for the following year, but as a volunteer you get priority. He waited in line for a few hours on Monday morning and got a spot for next year. We are very excited for him and know it's going to be a year of intense training. Just so you know the magnitude of this event......swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 (full marathon).......all in 1 day. It will likely take Mark 12+hrs to finish. Amazing test of endurance.......some may say it's crazy!
Spectators on Mill Ave bridge waiting for the start to begin......wave start of 1500+ swimmers!
