"We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face....we must do that which we think we cannot."

Friendship

5 years ago, I met these women. We were not friends. However, together we embarked upon a journey to deepen our spirituality, learn about ourselves and share of ourselves with others. For me it was something I've never done before. Growing up I was more of a tomboy and related better to boys than girls. There were 12 of us that went through the MOMS (Ministry of Mothers Sharing) 6 week session facilitated by 3 other women. 6 women have dropped out for various reasons. My experiences with these women have helped me be a true friend, a sympathetic listener, a tolerant person and a faithful sister of prayer. I'm grateful for the ways they have enriched my life. I probably would not have picked them as friends, but I'm so thankful I now call them friends. Love you guys!
Since completing my MOMS session, I joined the team of talented women who orchestrate 2 sessions each year for other women. Each one has a special talent they use to give back to this wonderful ministry. I am the prayer partner coordinator. It's a pleasure to work with these gifted women who give so freely of themselves.
