Old Dress

Here's a little nastalgia........I have the dress I wore in 2nd grade for my First Communion.  Lois would love to wear it for her First Communion, but unfortunately, in this part of the country First Communion/Confirmation occur together in 3rd grade.  The dress barely fits now and certainly won't fit in 12 months. We tried to recreate Lois wearing my dress......minus the tights.  Look in the background and you will see the little nutcracker man with blue hat.  Mom ordered the dress from the Montgomery Wards catalog when we lived in Germany. 

 Who dressed these people!?!?  Whoa! Plaid looks so good on my brother!

Pat's Run

The annual Pat's Run at ASU to honor Pat Tillman. 

Luke and I had to miss this year because of his track meet.

 The finish line is on the 42 yard line in the ASU stadium......42 was Pat's football number at ASU.

Back in the saddle

Tri season begins.......Marquee Triathlon in Tempe. 

This is Mark's first tri since Ironman in November.  Not a PR, but a solid finish.

Pedro turns 11

On April 14, 2001, Peter Anthony Brodnik was born on Holy Saturday.

Today he turns 11.  He's athletic, fun loving, tidy, a hard worker, great helper, super social, likes to be outdoors and loves his friends a ton!  He ran at 9 months.......he still keeps us on our toes.

Random activity....

A little behind on blogging..........here's a bunch of random activity.

Luke and several of his classmates were selected to represent their school at the state science and engineering fair in various categories.  It was an honor to be there and a good experience.  His experiment tested what type of soil made wheat grass grow the best.

 Luke created a Lego police car design and submitted it to a Lego contest. 

His mind is always turning.......sometimes like a mad scientist!!! 

Spring means butterflies at our house.  It was time to release our 5 painted ladies.

 Softball season is in full swing.  Lois loves it and NEVER complains about practice.  In fact, she frequently asks to play catch with whoever will.  This is her 3rd season and has improved so much.

 Track Meet for Luke.  His events are the 1600 and 800.

I got a stomach bug the night before so I spent the day in bed.  Bummer!

Spin Lady 80!

One of my spinner friends turned 80 today!  She is amazing!  She keeps up and keeps on moving!  What an inspiration!   I want to be just like her.  I had the priviledge of riding next to her this morning!  Lots of balloons and fun music!

Happy 6 years of marriage for my little brother! 

Six years ago today we were on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii.

Poor Peter was soooo sick on wedding day......puking during the ceremony into a Target bag.

Lois at 22 months.......love that whale spout of hair!  What a peanut!



Peter being sick and Kauai was having a 100 year flood with excess amounts of rain not making it very easy to be outside........those were the tough parts of the trip.   We did have one amazing moring on Tunnels Beach all by ourselves before the rain came.....wow!
