Fall Break

For fall break, we drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon where we camped for 3 nights. It was a bit chilly at night, but not horrible.  We LOVED the north rim......not crowded, quaint, beautiful.  The camp ground was nice.  We'd love to return someday.  Of the 5 million visitor to the Grand Canyon only 10% visit the North Rim.  Sorry for the photo dump.....you can scroll fast!!

On the way, we stopped to inspect the Navajo Bridge & the Colorado River near Lee's Ferry.
Beautiful with the Vermillion Cliffs in the background.

 Heading to the plateau
You can see forever as we climb up toward the rim.
Road leading to the rim....yes, that's snow.  Three days prior they received 6 inches of snow.

Ponderosa Pines smell like vanilla ice-cream.....no kidding!

Another badge.....night sky.  We were lucky to have a full moon during our stay.

These comfy couches pointed to humongous windows overlooking the canyon.
Quick stop on our way to Page.
