"We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face....we must do that which we think we cannot."

CA - The Parks

This summer we took a 17 day trip around California.  We began the journey with a quick stop in Sequoia & Kings Canyon and Yosemite.  So much to do in those parks....we barely scratched the surface.
Stopped at the General Patton museum in the CA desert.  It was hot!

Sequoia NP.
We climbed to the top of Moro Rock.....summit 6725ft.  Beautiful views.
Tunnel Log......base of tree is 21ft and height is 275ft.  Astonishing!
The biggest tree in the world....by volume.  General Sherman.
 We had two bear encounters.
This one is a mama bear we saw scampering across the road with her two cubs.
 More sequoia trees.
You cannot appreciate their granduer until you stand next to them.
 Kings Canyon.  Mountains & meadows......peace.
 Yosemite Falls.
 We love those squirrels.
Half Dome at sunset viewed from Mirror Lake....which was nearly dry.
 Hike to Vernal Falls.
Beautiful and significantly less crowded.
Part of the trail to the top of the falls.
 Top of falls.
Half Dome viewed from Glacier Point.
