I saw my onc on Sept 14. All is good and she wants me to repeat the scan in 6 months. I set my follow-up appt with her for the first week in March.....before spring break! This way the stress will be behind me and I can enjoy spring break with the kids not having to worry about the scan. The end of March will mark my 3 year anniversary. Time is flying!
I also so a periodontist. On October 25, I will have a tissue graft to address recession on my 2 bottom teeth. He confirmed for me that chemo is the likely cause for my problems. He said there are not official studies, but based on his experience and those of his colleagues, there seems to be a link between chemo and gum issues. Makes sense to me. I've had more dental work in the last year than in the last 10 years.
Last week I had a DEXA scan to check my bone density. No results yet. I also had 9 tubes of blood drawn for labs my naturopath requested. I was a little woozy after that! No results on those either. I will see my naturopaths in a couple weeks.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
