48, 49, and 50........only 2 more to go!!

On Thursday, I received my 50th Herceptin treatment! Yipeee! Seems like ages ago when I started the Herceptin journey......July 9, 2009, to be exact. On November 18, I will end this chapter. Then on December 3rd, I will have a procedure to remove my port. That will be the closure. I will be due for another PET scan in 6 months.....early March 2011. Last week I had an echocardiogram of my heart. Just a routine check. I see the cardiologist on Monday to review the results and talk about further testing. It's finally all coming to an end.....the weekly dr appts. I'm so excited to be getting my time back for myself. Last week I had 7 dr appts.....it's exhausting.
