Fiesta Bowl Race

At the 11th hour I decided to jump into a quaint little 5k race in Scottsdale....The Fiesta Bowl 5k/Half Marathon.  Mark & I did it 2 years ago on a very chilly morning.  Fun time!  It's a great race for many reasons.......reasonably priced, easy to get to, plenty of close parking, not crowded and a pretty course!   I've struggled with injuries most of the year and with Mark's training, I haven't had much time to get back into running.  But, I was itching to do a race so I convinced a friend and off we went.  It was a beautiful morning!  I had no expectations other than to be under 30 minutes.  I crossed at 28:58......not a PR, but happy with time.

This is Dorothy and she is 84.   I've seen her at many races.  In November she was at the Women's Half Marathon doing the 5k and her walker was decorated with Thanksgiving items.   She is amazing and living BIG!!!!  What a strong lady!  If this doesn't inspire you to get off your butt, I don't know what will!!!!
Kristen did the half marathon and had a great race!!!
