2 years ago today I received a phone call from my surgeon telling me my biopsy results showed I had breast cancer. The big "C". That phone call was followed by lots of tears, a ton of fear then a crash course on everything I could learn about breast cancer. Those were hard days. The uncertainty of my treatment plan and next steps was the hardest to manage. I've come so far since that phone call. I've grown in many ways. In some ways, cancer can be a blessing. You become witness to the compassionate hearts in each one of us. You see first hand how it takes a village to heal a broken body. It truly does. As much as the surgery, chemo and radiation brought me back to clean health, so did the love and caring of my family and friends. Don't think for a minute I will ever forget this. I celebrate this 2 year victory with tremendous enthusiasm for life. Live BIG, strong and healthy!!!!
With much gratitude and love in my heart for everyone who has helped me along the way. xxxooo
