Today my tri husband competed in an Olympic distance triathlon in Show Low, AZ.....about 3.5hrs northeast from Phx. The swim was in Fool Hollow Lake.....gorgeous camp ground. I highly recommend a trip there if you like to camp and fish.
Here's the start of the race. Craziness!! This is partially why open water swims are a different animal compared to swimming in a pool. Apples and oranges!!! It was a fun trip. Thanks to Granny for holding down the Brodnik fort while we were away for 29 hours. During this time our oldest son made tryouts for the Junior Lifeguard program. Hooray for him!!! ---srb
