We hiked the Grand Canyon last week with a fabulous group of people. There are many aspects that made this trip stand out.........it was the first time for our boys, Mark's brother joined us, the huge winter storm just days before our hike down made the scenery spectacular & the trails a little sketchy, spotted a big horn sheep grazing, singing in the canteen (I can't get "Henry the 8th I am" out of my mind) and fun bunkmates. It's a wonderful escape to simplicity. We want to go again next year. I can't wait!!! 
So glad you went! Would have to agree with you about the GC being the most magical place on earth! We took a rafting trip 11 years ago for 5 days into the nooks and cranies. It is STILL my most favorite vacation...next to my honeymoon of course! LOL It would be so fun to fill the boats with friends though. The stories we'd have would be countless!
