"We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face....we must do that which we think we cannot."

SheROX.......next year

Today my family & I went to Tempe Town Lake to watch the start of the SheROX Danskin Triathlon Series. It was a fun, inspiring environment.....very similar to the Tri for the Cure. The race is a 800 meter swim, 13 mile bike and 5k run. I'm looking ahead to next year. This will be a fun one to do and the timing is perfect since it's about 3 weeks after the Tri for the Cure. I'll already be in training mode and will be primed for this event. The other thing to note about this event is that The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a partner. For the seventh consecutive year, BCRF received Charity Navigator’s highest rating, four stars, thus outperforming over 99% of the evaluated charities, while the American Institute of Philanthropy has awarded BCRF its highest possible rating of A+. So, you can rest assured that the funds raised for this charity are managed well.

Team SOS.......Dates to keep in mind:

Sunday, October 11, 2009 --- Race for the Cure
Sunday, November 15, 2009 --- IronGirl at Tempe

For the IronGirl, girls & women of all ages can participate in either the 5k or the 10 mile race. Sounds like fun!

I like this quote........"In order to make a positive change in your life, you have to expand your boundaries by climbing outside your comfort zone." This is so true. It takes courage, strength and may cause temporary pain.....but well worth the effort. Get outside your comfort zone!!

Love, srb
